Manu Jiménez guides four tastings at the Lleida Wine Festival

Tastings guided by Manu Jiménez, the best sommelier in Spain in 2017, will be the main novelty of the Lleida Wine Festival that will host the Plaça de la Llotja next Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 October. Jimenez will comment on 4 tasting sessions with DO Costers del Segre wines compared to other wines from the world. The gastronomic exhibition, organized by the Paeria, through Turisme de Lleida and the Wine Route of Lleida, will be attended by 28 companies from the wine sector and the hotel industry, with an offer of more than 150 wine references and gastronomy throughout the weekend. Jordi Vidal, chef of La Guspira in Linyola, opened at Salmerón street in Lleida, at the same place where the historic Forn del Nastasi was placed; a new restaurant named L’Espurna. Costers of Sió vinifies 4,000 kilos of Garnacha and Syrah in an 11th century stone mill

The Porcioles Buixó family, owners of Costers del Sió winery, started today the natural and spontaneous winemaking of 4,000 kilos of Garnacha and Syrah in one of the 11th-century stone mills found and recovered four years ago. Those responsible for the winery, José María and Juan Porcioles brothers, estimate that this year 2017 they will be able to remove some 3,500 bottles from the Siós Farm that was presented last year with their first 2014 auction.
