The gastronomic societies and ESCHOTUR Lleida maintain their annual collaboration with Arrels Sant Ignasi
The gastronomic societies of Lleida, Amics del Bacallà, Cauet del Segrià, GastroBacus, Lo Tall and Sogall, together with the Lleida School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESCHOTUR Lleida), have converted the 2020 Xup Xup Solidari Dinner in the distribution of 300 batches of solidarity gastronomic products. Thus, the entities that organize the Xup Xup Solidari will maintain the collaboration with the Arrels Sant Ignasi Foundation with an estimated collection of more than 9,000 euros, although this year it will not be possible to celebrate the dinner that each year brought together about 300 diners at the Hotel School.
Thus the package of products will have a panettone that will make the students of ESCHOTUR Lleida; German nougat and honey; Battle coffee; sausage from Bon Àrea de Guissona; a portion of cheese from the Cadí or Pastoret de la Segarra brands; a bottle of wine from the Castillo de Monesma, Lagravera or Raimat wineries; extra virgin olive oil Les Cabanes or Rajolí d’Or; fruit salad and peach in Western Fruit syrup; two Magna beers from Mahou San Miguel; as well as other products provided by Plusfresc. Like Pomona, Lloguers Sarri, Missatges, Sanui Fruits and la Torxa, they also collaborate in this edition.
Àngel Pedra, spokesperson for the gastronomic societies that promote the activity, wanted to “thank all the companies collaborating in the traditional dinner that keep their product contributions for this solidarity batch”.
Students and teachers of ESCHOTUR Lleida will make the lots that can be reserved in the different gastronomic societies and will be distributed during the last days of November and first of December.
