The wineries Lagravera in Alfarràs, Mas Blanch i Jové in la Pobla de Cérvoles, and Terrer de Pallars in Figuerola d’Orcau, the consultancy of wine and food communication Como Pomona, and the wine distributor Casa Badio, are promoting a non-profit association to elaborate a thousand bottles of a solidarity and collaborative wine of this 2,017 harvest.

People who want to be friends of the project can collaborate buying a bottle or even participating in the harvest of some of the 400 kilos that will provide each winery. The wine, which has to be named, will be made with a blend of three different grapes, one for each wine cellar. Three different varieties, from three different sub-areas of the DO Costers del Segre (Segrià, Garrigues and Pallars). The organizers summon three collaborative vintages for September 16, in Lagravera; 23 September, in Terrer de Pallars, and 7 October, in Mas Blanch i Jové.

Jordi Hortet, from Casa Badio; the director and oenologist of Lagravera, Sergi Garcia and Ivà Gallego, respectively; the owners and processors of Terrer de Pallars, Núria Bigorra and Jordi Ruiz; Sara Jové, of the family that owns Mas Blanch i Jové; and the journalist Rafa Gimena of Como Pomona; held this week a first meeting to lay the foundations of the association that will give legal personality to the project.

The collaborative harvests that have convened the wineries will cost 20 euros and will be enoturistic activities that will include, visit to the winery and the vineyards, wine tasting, breakfast and participation in this vintage. Those who want to reserve some of the solidarity bottles that will be made with the grape harvested that day will be able to do that same day.
